The album 'From Hibernation' released on ‘Elemental Sounds Records’ ESGERM03, follows the 2001 release 'Contagion is a Good Thing E.P' Released though ‘Holier Than Thou Records’ HHTGERM02

Originally a solo project for Purvis at the end of the 1990s, Germinal evolved with the addition of the mononomenclatured Hardy, Baynham and Road.
The dark alternative fourpiece signed to Holier Than Thou Records in 2000. Contagion Is A Good Thing EP was released and they toured Europe and the southern States of America in support of the work.
In 2002 Germinal went into a self-confessed hibernation, only to emerge in 2005 with the full-length From Hibernation record on Elemental Sounds.
